Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

The short version: DeepDen does not require an account, your timer runs on your device, and we do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of third-party services (analytics, music, donations), described below.

1. Who we are

DeepDen is developed and operated by Luis Toro ("DeepDen", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the DeepDen mobile apps for Android and iOS and the website deepden.app (together, the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use DeepDen. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

Information stored on your device

Your timer sessions, selected mode and preferences are processed and stored locally on your device. This information is not sent to us.

Usage and diagnostic information

To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, we may collect limited technical information automatically, such as device type, operating system, browser or app version, language, approximate region (derived from your IP address), pages or screens viewed, taps, clicks, scrolls and session duration.

  • Website: deepden.app uses Microsoft Clarity for analytics (see section 5).
  • Mobile apps: [ANALYTICS / CRASH-REPORTING PROVIDER — e.g. Firebase Crashlytics. Remove this line if the apps do not use one.]

Google Play and the Apple App Store may also provide us with aggregated, non-identifying statistics (such as installs and crash rates) according to their own policies.

3. Device permissions

  • Notifications: used only to alert you when a focus session or break ends. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

DeepDen does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location. [Update this list if the apps request any other permission.]

4. How we use information

  • To provide and operate the App's features.
  • To understand usage, improve the design and fix bugs and crashes.
  • To respond to your messages and support requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect the App against abuse.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. Third-party services

Some features are provided by third parties. When you use them, those providers may collect information under their own privacy policies:

6. Sharing and selling

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share information with the service providers listed above so they can perform services for us, or when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

7. Data retention

Data stored on your device stays there until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Analytics data is kept according to each provider's retention policy. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond and for our records.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. You may also file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You can also:

  • Turn off notifications in your device settings.
  • Block or delete cookies and analytics in your browser settings.
  • Delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App.

9. Children's privacy

DeepDen is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, including serving the App over encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, if the changes are significant, let you know through the App.

13. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data? Write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
